54: Doll of the Month: Emily.

So it's January 31(already) and Emily wanted to say hi and bye and show you what she has in regards to our genuine American girl collection. 

Hello. I'm Emily, yeah you've seen me a couple of times this month but I didn't say a proper howdy. 

My full name is Emily Eve Anderson. I wasn't named after the other Emily (little Australian girl, nor the historical American girl friend either) it was just the name that best suited me. 

I came to Australia from Burlington via eBay in the USA. I arrived in Australia on the 14th of August 2014. Some if us gave our arrival date as our birthday but not me I have the 20th of January. We decided on that date because I'm a number 21, and I first debuted in 2001. Australians use the day then the month when writing their dates.

This is the outfit I was bought in, a meet outfit. I was a "my American girl" and this is the True Spirit outfit. 

This is the School a Jumper, it was released in 1996, wow. It's way too hot today to wear these tights.  I'm missing the headband and the genuine shoes but we did find a look alike pair

They're up there on top of the wardrobe. Ooh those are genuine..,

These are from the 2008 skateboard outfit, hahaha I think there are pieces shared around of this outfit. Maddie has the jacket, Miriam has the shorts, I think there are a couple of the skateboards rolling around too. We're missing the pink shirt but no need to guess why. These shoes are canvas very comfy. 

Coconut cutie outfit. Catherine got me this in Oahu. 

Coconut pyjamas I got these for my birthday last year. 

A couple of hair clips. 

Phew its hot work changing all these clothes on a day like today. 

Can't forget my genuine undies

And this swim suit. I'm still trying to find out the original sets name. I got this for Xmas. 

I think I'll settle of wearing this just for now

The Coconut's best friend outfit would be really nice it might get cool enough to wear it in a month or so. 

The roller skating set, it would be heaps of fun.

53. School: the lunchbox lineup.

A little letter arrived today 

Hi Catherine. 

Hey Emily. How's it going?

We're a little bit bored. 

Oh, school holidays hey, poor things. 

Maybe this'll cheer you up.

That's like 2 days away!

School!

Oh, that'll give us something to do. 

Yay!

I can start with the second task, make sure everyone has a playground hat. 

I think I know who to ask about a healthy lunchbox.

Hello Emily. Are you as bored as we are?

Yes, well I was. We got a letter, schools back in on Thursday, and we're supposed to take a healthy lunchbox. 

Ooh food, we might have some ideas, let me check the fridge. 

Oh, how many lunch boxes?

I think there's 11 of us, that will go to the school round the corner. 

Maybe Emily we need a little magic to have enough for 11. 

Hoh Bridget. I think I know just the right person to ask. 

There are enough ingredients for a big batch of muffins. They can be healthy, I've been wanting to try that new recipe.

We got a letter from the school round the corner, we have to go back on Thursday. 

Ah, I hoped it would be soon. 

Are you going to be at Hogwarts? 

I'm not really supposed to go there yet, I'm not old enough I just pop in every now and then. I will take some lessons by correspondence though, they're letting me do that. 

We were wondering if you were able to magic us some healthy lunchbox food. 

I don't think I have a spell for that. Hogwarts has it's elves that do all it's cooking, so it's never been a lesson. Maybe it's a different kind of craft you need to make some healthy lunch. I know just the right girls.

Not sure what a healthy lunchbox is though. 

Me either Trinity but I can see a lunchbox, that might be a start.

Here's what Trinity and I came up with

Lettuce (green craft foam)

Chips?

Mmm chips. Mushrooms come out of the dirt, chips come out of potatoes they come out of the dirt too. 

Um, ok, they're a sometimes food. 

Yay, chips chips chips. (Yellow craft foam, NB the printable Iabel and idea was from the blog American Girl Ideas)

Red apples (I think they were an Xmas decoration at some point) and tomato slices (red craft foam)

Deli slices (pink craft foam) sliced cheese (yellow craft foam)

Grated carrot (orange craft foam) and tasty Bhuja mix (red beads and bits of craft foam in lots of colours).
