101. Our Generation Outfits at Kmart.

Kmart Australia stocks some (tiny amount) of Our Generation items. They go pretty quickly too, from my local stores anyway. Any restocked are usually the same thing over and over,
but not always....

Oooh, Get Spotted, a retro outfit. I think my girls are too modern for this, it also looks to me to be for an older teenager to adult, maybe mumsies Anne, maybe, mumsie was a child in the 50s-60s she might know. Don't mind the shoes though.

There was also this outfit, Ready to Ride. I've recently parted with my OG horses (the great twin funding of 2016, and some purchases in transit)

And I'm not a fan of whipping animals, does it make me a hypocrite if I'd use this as a fly swat instead?
I was curious though as to its fit on my American Girls, and whether I could use the pieces to accessorise other outfits.

The blue button is the same material used as a belt on a little white tiered dress, I think Mercedes has it in her wardrobe

For the Frill of it

I like how OG has a quirky name for their things and pictures on the boxes so I can stick them in my books, this I dated June 2014.

The sleeves are lined to help prevent colour transfer

Mercedes looks very smart. Going for an interview, or real estate agent. The cuffs needed a little gentle pulling to get over her hands, but no seam busting occurred.
The shoes are from an OG shoes set.

The vest that accompanied the dress and the jacket both have lining at the collar again for colour transfer prevention.

A little yellow tshirt, actually that lighting doesn't do it justice, that's a lot yellow tshirt, and I thought the original outfit colour combo was a bit too much, but with the right bottoms

It looks really nice. Llewellyn ( Julie) is a big fan of yellow, has a gorgeous handmade set that includes long pants and a skirt. The material has little yellow flowers

I think it looks real nice with this

The pants look like the could be made from stiffer material, but it is fairly soft and fits more like a pair of leggings, with an elastic waist. The legs would not go any higher than this over her calf.

Some big rubber boots

The boots are all one piece with molded detail. The heel/sole is black but it looks like the colour of the plastic not paint, even though the inside of the boot is all brown.

The dip where the heel is, to save on plastic and weight, I guess.
I do like the boots, they are squishy to help get them on the dolls feet, I would have liked socks as well though, so there is no rubbing.
Let's see how we go with a pair, these are baby human socks

One on one to go

Maybe the socks had a little too much give, that looks like the sock heel poking out the top.

I redid, it wasn't too bad the second time, but glad I was using socks.

I think I like the pink peeking over the top.

And a hat....

It feels like Felt, a peaked hat with a flower over the right ear and an elastic chin strap.

Mariana is still looking for a red hat to go with her Sea Breeze play suit, the crocheted one is ok but doesn't offer very good sun protection due to the gaps in the stitches. She's thinking would still prefer a bucket hat.

With the outfit, hmmm too many bold colours I think.

I put the chin strap behind merce's  hair

Almost forgot the coat hanger. Merce collects these

And almost forgot the fly swat....

Sleepy Spot.

100. Happy Birthday Easter Bunny

At my current work location there are around 200 staff, we have a social club, it raises enough money to give back a treat every now and then. Now it's Easter and each of us were gifted a chocolate rabbit (the gentlan on the left). Then, was two years ago, lady on the right, we managed to save one and she's still with us. No ones keen on checking beneath the wrapper, but on certain holidays it gets a little decorating.
Happy birthday Bunny.

The anniversary of its best before date is in June.

A little Weekend at Bunnies maybe?

99. Doll Fair 2016.

Saturday March 19 was the day for the 2016 Newcastle & Hunter Valley Doll Lovers' Annual Fair
Mariana is a doll lover and wanted to come along

After the Big Day Out though she insisted on a coffee stop on the way.

A big shopping bag, mostly in hope of big shopping purchases, but also for tired dolly feet. Two bags? Big hopes? Well yes, but also we were hoping to meet up with a companion.

There was already a line at the door

The signs were all there but not yet unfurled

Pacing, that's the Newcastle Knights home field in the background.

Yay, aunty Peggy and cousin Natasha.

Hehehe Natasha's glasses were all skewiff.

We made it inside and had a look around but despite the humungus bags we did not buy anything.
We went to some op shops and another coffee shop up the road, and had a look around.

Doesn't Natasha look cute in her new dress?  It's Kit's Beforever meet outfit. Aunty Peggy had seen it in one of our AG catalogues and said it reminded her of clothes she had to wear when she was a kid.

98. We interrupt this Big Day Out

We were emptying the sand from our shoes and planning to walk along the breakwall when....

The phone rang, whoop, nup, thankful for message bank (my phone is my camera), the car was ready... All in favour of heading home?

The harbour

The Stockton ferry

Harry's Cafe de Wheels and behind that the Hunter street mall, we'll visit some of these places next time, there's a fantastic hobby shop in there. For today we'd had enough.

We checked google maps after we got home and it worked out we'd walked about 17 kilometres, well some of us did anyway.
