80. Seeing double

So a recent post revealed a couple of new friends visiting. Yes a couple, no need to check your glasses you were seeing double. A bit extravagant? When they advertise the doll as pictured above what else could be done then fall in love with the doll and the idea of twins.

And so I did.
I'm still trying to determine if they have any production differences, Lauralee on the right maybe has more curl, maybe. Personality etc, Lauralee would maybe be more girly than her twin, Mikarleah. Mikarleah would be full time in the water if she could,

Yep there she goes, oop missed her she's already swum behind that rock.

Lauralee loves her camera, and more often beachside

The names: I had thought Lea Clark was pronounced Leeee. I wanted to add part of the original name to my girls and so we have Lauralee.
As it's actually pronounced Learrr, we have Mikarleah.
I ordered them from the American Girl website so the package origin is MiddletonWisconsin and I've tried to use the dolls place of origin in my naming process as well. Middleton is in the county of Dane.
So say hi to

Lauralee Clara Dane (left)
And
Mikarleah Rose Dane (right)

Lauralee is wearing the recently released Spring Breeze outfit

Mikarleah is wearing Julie's Summer Skirt set (inspired by Lissie and Lilly. http://lissieandlilly.blogspot.com.au/2016/01/lea-in-julie-ivys-outfits-1974.html?m=1 )

73.

72. Mulan

The new Hasbro Disney Princesses.
I thought Mulan looked a little crosseyed when I first saw her. I'm not so sure now. She is starting to grow on me.
I haven't seen Pocahontas or Merida yet. I hope Pocahontas' outfit is longer than her predecessors.

69. E equals m c squared

How much energy I used when I carried two boxes to the laser scanner.
Whilst waiting for an eBay auction to expire I visited Toys'r'us at lunch today. Brand new lots of stock of a doll line called Project E=mc2.

Bryden

The basic dolls are $29.99 each (Australian dollars)

Mckeyla

Bryden

And the dolls (that look more articulated) that come with a science experiment $44.99 each.

They all have inset eyes. I managed to get two names in the pictures, and I think I like Bryden best.

Additional play sets in human size. Lab kit.

Journal

Make a radio out of bananas

I didn't win that eBay auction.

Oh, Daenerys Targaryen. Shame she didn't come with her dragon.

*******
I have resisted buying any of these (so far) there is a review done on The Toybox Philosopher's blog from August last year, not confident I can create a link but if you google

Project Mc - The Toy Box Philosopher

Or go to her blog and check out august 2015

75. Crafternoon.

Ooh bubbles

Miss Dawson was exhausted. The first day of school seemed to go on forever. (Guilty as charged, in human world it's almost been 4 weeks since it started). One of the important items on the Letter home was for each student to bring a water bottle for obvious drinking reasons when out in the playground.
I'd been watching YouTube American Girl Ideas for ideas and party supplies bubble bottles were suggested as a base.
For the crafty afternoon Miss Dawson thought each girl could decorate their bottles 1. To give them the pop top look and 2. To personalise them.

I found the above pictured box of in Kmart and appreciated the different colours to start with.
As each was filled with bubble juice we had to get rid of that somehow, and well when there's bubble juice and a wand it's only right to use the things appropriately. Trinity and Pudding helped me out. It was not a very successful photo shoot but Pudding could see them and that's the main thing. (The fluffy blurs).
