104. Happy birthday dear Reb ah Tzeitel.

April 4 is Rebecca Rubins birthday, and it is also her distant relatives',  Tzeitel. 

Happy birthday sweetee. 

For girl of the month I've been trying to add to my genuine American Girl doll collection and so I check with each girl their wish list. 

Tzeitel would like shoes, she hopes to open a shoeshop one day, not necessarily to sell or benefit her own collection, but there's no harm in that until it affects the profit/loss. Her shop would be called "Lavender's Hue", shoes being one of her favourite things, lavender one of her favourite colours. 

She hoped that the outfits she likes include the shoes.

Rebecca's pajamas even though there are no shoes.   We do have Rebecca's robe and slippers.

We did try to copy this dress already, as seen in the first photo on this post. Her best friend Trinity also has a copy. 

Her choices were old fashioned and maybe a reflection of her heritage, 

Tzeitel was a little coy about what shoes she really wanted

The Fun Floral boots, released for the Truly Me line this year. 

She wasn't quite sure what she would wear them with, but she just couldn't help but like them. 

So, maybe, to help to this end the gift for the AG collection was to try to modernise her wardrobe, if she wanted. Gifts can be shared or regifted.

2013 Sweet Spring Dress

This dress is so lovely. It is made of a cream knit fabric, which is just right for Tzeitel. She is tempted to see if she can do a crochet copy. 

It came with a hair clip

And pretty little pink shoes with ankle ties that are actually elastic loops. It is maybe a little too short, for what Tzeitel is used to, but very nice all the same. 

It is lined, a loose skirt 

And close lining in the bodice.

Boots with little zips. Some of the outer purple was coming off at a crease caused when shod ding.

High neck cap sleeved tshirt, sequins in the centre

The zip works but is not required as the boots slip on easy enough whether up or down. 

This hooded jumper had no Velcro, would if fit over her head?

I'm, nup

Undo the little buttons and pull it up from your feet. Thin cord jeans with Velcro fly and elasticised in the back waistband.
